Environment in Unreal

Hello everyone, here is some environment work I created in Unreal Engine 5. I did the set dressing, painted and sculpted the landscape. Set up the lighting, camera, and materials. The trees (European Black Alder), textures and rocks are asset packs from FAB.

Just breath

On my last trip, I finally got to do something I have been looking forward to for a long time! My first scuba dive!. No pictures, unfortunately, so I made an art instead.

As a beginner, I was with an instructor the whole time, and I got to see coral reef. It was an incredible experience. Though being a first timer, it took some time to get used to the scuba diving process. The biggest is to control my breathing and just let the body relax.

At first I was doing well with the breathing and diving deeper, then I felt the underwater pressure and it hit me that I have never been underwater for so long and a strong desire to breathe through my nose came up as my mind was convinced I couldn't breathe anymore.

Then spiraling into thinking up all the ways it could go wrong. That's when my breathing got too fast. My throat was too dry. Panic, I had to go up for air.

I breathed, calmed down, and got my mind to a better place. Practiced my breaths and went back under. I was not about to let that stop me as I have been looking forward to this experience for too long. Then I was able to just focus on regulating my internal world. While enjoying being guided into the underwater corals by my instructor. I was doing great, breathing slowly, calmly, and enjoying the scenery.

Then it came up again, the panic, not because I was doing anything wrong, but because I was doing something unfamiliar. Though I have lots of swimming experience. So I kept reminding myself that being in water is natural for me. This calmed me down and let me enjoy it more.

After the dive, my whole body felt so refreshed, clear, calm, and open. I could not explain. Like I have visited my long lost home. I look forward to my next dive.

This serves as a reminder that in life, sometimes when you are doing something new and everything is going well. Fear of the unfamiliar can creep up and try to convince us that we are not safe, that we are somehow not meant to do this, and that it's not our natural state.

But the thing is, learning, exploring, growing, challenging ourselves, is our natural state. It's how we have always grown. Sometimes, throwing yourself into something unfamiliar is what you need.

Creative inner wellness

Hello, everyone!

If we've connected through my work in the Art, VFX, film, and gaming industries, you know me as a VFX artist, 3D generalist, illustrator and concept artist. I'm grateful for my journey as an artist in film, animation, and gaming. I've always been passionate about artistry and storytelling through visuals.

In addition to my creative endeavors, I've nurtured a deep interest in mindfulness, spirituality and alternative wellness,. That has been an important part of my life and has caused my creative expression to take on a different form.

While these passions may seem like different worlds, I've found ways to integrate them, enhancing my own life and well-being. So aside from my current work that I'm still involved in. I decided to branch out into something more alternative and creative.

I'm excited to introduce Creative Inner Wellness—a space where creativity meets mental and emotional well-being.

For those curious about exploring how creativity and wellness intertwine, I invite you to join me on this journey. Follow along as I share insights, stories, poetry, tools, and experiences to inspire balance and strength.

If interested, feel free to connect and let's explore these new dimensions together!

Babcia

So this is another piece of my grandmother. This one is really dear to me. I actually started it back in 2016 as a photoshop painting. Then life got in the way and I Picked it up again this time working in Procreate.

The original line work got deleted. But it started off as a sketch with the perspective lines. before I started to block in the colors.

The time of day lighting was going to be a big part in making this panting look interesting. So I started blocking out the basic shapes that are made by the tree shadow. While not taking away from my grandmother being the focal point.

I made the colors more vibrant here as it looked to dull before. I decided that the curtain blowing in the wind took away from the peaceful feel I was going for.

I worked up the details in my grandmother and her plants. In the final touches, I added the chickens as she had many. Along with some more details that really made the place feel more colorful and nostalgic.

I felt inspired to create another piece of my grandmother. This one is really dear to me. In this painting, I wanted to capture and share the nostalgia and warm memories of my visits to grandma's home in the Polish countryside. Back then, life felt so vibrant when I got to visit her.
She was the strongest person I had ever known. Surviving World War Two and unimaginable horrors. With hardship, she had to carry throughout her whole life. Through it all, she developed a powerful resilience and made a life where she could pass her strength onto others.
I'm grateful to have had her in my life. This painting is my way to honor her. When I need strength, I turn to those who have made it through the impossible. Though her life was not so peaceful and colorful. So, in this painting, I wanted to give her that.

Crystal Cave 3D Environment

This is from my crystal cave project. This is based on a digital painting I did a couple of years back. The piece was popular among my viewers. So, I created a 3D environment based on it in Unreal 5. I designed the environment and did some modelling, texturing, and material creation. Along with using some assets from Fab.

Professional achievements

So I'm sharing some of my professional accomplishments today. I finally got to see “Mufasa The Lion King”. Where I worked as a previs key layout artist. Some great visuals in this film! Watching the scenes brought up a flood of memories of all the hours of work that we put in. Seeing it finished felt like such a sense of completion. It was really nice to see my name in the credits at the end. I'm really grateful for this experience and the teams I got to work with.
